In 1999, Cannondale introduced the Bad Boy to their line up. Its original purpose was to be a training bike for Volvo-Cannondale riders, that could travel at high speeds and brake quickly and effectively, but over the years it has turned into a purposeful urban bike. This year, the Cannondale Bad Boy gets badder than ever. Featuring a stiff lefty fork, aggressive style, and high volume 650b tires, the Bad Boy 1 is the ultimate city bike.
Smaller, fatter wheels
650b wheels help make the Bad Boy agile and maneuverable at both slower and faster speeds, while the 40mm tires help to keep you comfortable when hitting any rough terrain.
Magura hydraulic disc brakes to give you the fastest, hardest stopping power while you maneuver through Toronto’s obstacles.
Belt Drive System
A Gates CenterTrack Carbon Drive Belt and a Shimano Alfine 8 internally geared hub to keep things clean and low maintenance.
3M Bumpers & Integrated Lights
The top tube is built with 3M bumper material that Cannondale calls Urban Armor. It helps protect the frame if you decide to lean it up somewhere while on the go, and is also very reflective. Integrated LED lights in the Lefty LightPipe fork and seat post, to make sure you are highly visible to anyone else on the road.
All in all, if you’re looking to shred the city streets, then the Cannondale Bad Boy 1 is the way to go.
