Great service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Rating is for the staff at this place! They were super helpful and really know their Bikes. Bought two bikes from here and love them both! One sick Carbon Road bike and the other an Evo Stumpjumper - Specialized of course !
Best inventory for BMX brands in the downtown area. Justin is seasoned in his riding and build knowledge. He's probably the only person you need to talk to in the city if you're not sure how to fix your ride.
I purchased an electric bike just a few weeks ago. My husband researched the options for us in order to bike together. Bike Depot not only helped us to figure out the right bike -- they helped me to be excited about biking again by thoroughly figuring out what was right for me. It is almost magical and definitely life changing how I feel about biking now. It is the most wonderful feeling to be active in this way. A huge thank you Bike Depot and all the experts there at the Bloor St. West shop.
Impressive store, friendly knowledgeable staff. Josh in service is exceptional, took the time to answer my questions, not to mention did absolutely stellar work on my bike. Highly recommended for anyone that might feel intimidated or overwhelmed when getting into biking both street or mtb.
I came across Bike Depot at the Toronto Bike show last spring. Right away they were more knowledgable and helpful than the other vendors. I spoke to Josh and asked him to get back to me regarding some wheels. I was so impressed with how quick he provided information. It wasn't long before I had my Specialized Demo in for upgrades and service. Communication was excellent and they were super accommodating considering I was driving from north of the city. The quality of service and attention to detail was incredible and before finding Bike Depot I had been to a ton of shops in the GTA...they are by far the best at what they do. I normally don't write reviews but when a store provides such great quality service it's only right to give them a review they deserve from a customer who's been in the store for parts and service many many times. I have at least 4 bike stores in my area and I always drive the 45 minutes to service and buy my parts from them. Highly Recommended!!
Bike is great, but this has to be the worst service i've gotten anywhere. They called me to tell me my bike was ready, drove there, and it wasn't. No apologies given. Finally picked up my bike the next day and when I got home, the cleats weren't in the bag. Drove back and again no apology or ownership. The owner just sits there and judges his staff and the people who come in the shop. Cocky and lazy workers. Terrible experience. Go to Sweet Pete's beside, you won't be disappointed there.
My partner and I came into the store today to purchase a bicycle. Approached a Male seated at service counter finishing his lunch. All sales persons were busy with clients. Male had us wait while he finished up his meal at the service counter to wait for someone to assist us. By watching and listening to the male barking out orders to his employees, I would assume he was the owner/manager. Lost all interest in the store because of lack of customer care and the attitude received. We left the store and walked over to another cycle store Sweet Pete's cycle 1204 Bllor Street W with 100% better customer service.
I am giving 2 stars only because I love my Specialized bike. Regarding service - zero stars. Spent $1300 on bike and accessories and when I picked it up they did not fit the bike to me. This was even after I told them I had the exact same bike in another city but this one did not feel comfortable. I went home and watched YouTube to figure out what was wrong. Had to ride back the next day to instruct them on how to adjust the handle bars, reach, and seat so the bike fit me. Really? They seem eager to sell but not to ensure the bike is right for the rider after you leave the store. This was a very disappointing experience.
I asked if a disk brake could be added to a 2016 Specialized bike. The answer was a flat 'no', that i would have to get a new frame. But they failed to mention that for $20 I could purchase a disk brake adaptor online and could still have payed them for a new disk brake, but sorry not a new frame. They didnt take the 15 seconds it took me to see if it could be done, the manager interupted my conversatuon with the clerk helping me, and gave me a flat No, even when I asked again to confirm. So i feel No about going back. I cant imagine people in the bicycle industry not being aware of a little bit shape of metal helping you switch one kind of brake for another. Its been out for ages, thousands of people do this, and seems common sense, or at least check whats in their own industry, or spend a few seconds looking into it. There wwre there people on the floor and I was the only customer on a Thursday afternoon. Deux stars.
The staff put a large dent in the top tube of my relatively new and expensive road bike. When I showed them, they denied any knowledge of it and refused to take any responsibility. They tried to convince me that it must have already been there! I know my bike, and I take great care of it. If the damage had already been there, I would have known about it. When I went back later and spoke to the owner, same story; "couldn't have been my staff, must have been there already". Lying staff and dishonest owner. Take your business elsewhere.
Bought a bike last summer (a belt drive BMC - love it!) - and I damaged it and brought it in. I was expecting a $200-$300 replacement on the part. The service staff expertly fixed it instead for $10, and fixed my headset at no charge. would love to give 6 stars here. Both experiences were amazing.
Great service and nice selection. Bought my first bike from them last summer and the staff were very friendly and helpful even though I was not looking to spend a tremendous amount of money. A lot of that was probably due to none of them working off of commission. The 5 year free warranty service for buying a bike from them is also a huge plus.
We have bought two bikes from them. First a road bike for my husband and later a hybrid bike for me. Their attention to our needs was exceptional. We recently brought our bikes in for service and they were courteous and clear about the work and timeline. Compared to other shops in the area, their customer service is excellent. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
We bought a bike from Matthew the manager there for my Wife. He is attentive, patient and knowledgeable. She and I love her new bike and can't wait to attack some "hills". Her fitting was done professionally and kindly. Our experience at this store has been 100% positive from Matthew to his bike mechanics they all were top notch and caring. At the end of the day all bike stores carry bikes/parts and provide service. This store provides exceptional service and support. I have recommend them 100% and especially Matthew the manager. He knows the products 100% well and can advise with confidence. Recommend 100%
